Image License
The terms for reusing the artwork published on this site, and how to ask for anything they do not cover.
Applies to every image served from ruicodex.com. Rights holder: Rui Codex (KBO/BCE BE1033974468, Belgium).
1. What this covers
This page covers the images published under ruicodex.com/images/: the
topic illustrations that head articles, the per-page share cards, the diagrams inside
guides, and the Rui Codex wordmark and logo. All of it is original artwork produced
by or for Rui Codex. None of it is stock photography, and none of it depicts
identifiable people, client premises or client data.
It does not cover third-party marks that appear in the text of articles — product names such as Odoo, Microsoft Azure or WooCommerce belong to their owners and are used here only to refer to those products.
2. Editorial use you do not need to ask for
You may reuse an image from this site, unmodified, without contacting us first, when all of the following are true:
- The use is editorial — reporting, commentary, education, research, or a link-out from your own article.
- You credit it as “Rui Codex” and link to the page you took it from, or to ruicodex.com.
- You do not imply that Rui Codex endorses you, your product or your position.
- You do not resell, sublicense or redistribute the file as an asset in its own right — for example in a template pack, a stock library or an NFT.
- You do not use it to train a generative model on our visual identity.
The attribution line we prefer, copy-and-paste ready:

3. Uses that need written permission
Ask us first — we usually say yes, and it is free for most of these — if you want to:
- Crop, recolour, overlay or otherwise modify an image.
- Use it commercially: in advertising, on packaging, on merchandise, or in a paid product.
- Use the Rui Codex logo or wordmark anywhere other than to link to us.
- Use an image at print resolution, or need a source file rather than a web export.
4. How to request a license
Write to us through the contact form and say which image you mean — the page URL and the image URL are enough — plus where it will appear and whether you need to modify it. We answer licensing requests within two business days.
If you need a higher-resolution export, a transparent-background version or the wordmark in vector form, say so in the same message; those exist and we can send them.
5. Metadata and attribution
Each published image carries its rights information in two places, so attribution
survives being copied: a schema.org/ImageObject block on the page that
names the creator, the credit line, the copyright notice and this licence, and an
XMP packet embedded in the image file itself carrying the same creator, credit,
copyright notice and a web statement of rights pointing back to this page.
If you are handling one of our images and want to know its terms, that embedded metadata is authoritative and travels with the file.
6. Takedown and corrections
If you believe an image on this site infringes your rights, or that a credit is wrong, tell us through the contact form with the page URL and what you believe is wrong. We review such reports on receipt and remove or correct anything we cannot substantiate.
7. Reservation of rights
Except for the editorial use granted in section 2, all rights in the images are reserved by Rui Codex. This page does not transfer ownership of anything, and it can be updated; the date at the top of this page is the version in force. Nothing here narrows the rights you already hold under Belgian or EU copyright exceptions, such as quotation or parody.
