About RadioSEM

RadioSEM is built to get music playing quickly. On first launch you pick a country and up to three genres, and the app starts a live station that is actually working. If a stream drops, it reconnects by itself and comes back at the live moment rather than minutes behind. Playback continues in the background, with controls on the lock screen, in the notification and on a headset.

The home screen picks up where you left off and adds a station of the day, local radio from your country, picks for you and what people are listening to right now. Explore lets you browse by genre or by country, more than 200 of them, or search for a station by name. Favourites and recently played stations sit together in the Library; ten favourites are free and stay on your phone, and an optional account syncs them across devices.

For evenings there is a sleep timer that fades the sound out gently, and a listening journey adds daily goals, streaks, achievements and vinyl styles for the player. A station that will not play can be reported from the player in two taps. Stations are third-party broadcasts listed through the open radio-browser.info directory; RadioSEM does not host or record any audio. The app is free with ads, and Premium is a monthly subscription that removes ads and adds unlimited favourites, a full equalizer and every vinyl style.
