About LetsLearn

LetsLearn covers English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Dutch, Danish, Turkish, Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Arabic, and any of the twelve can also be the language you study from, which makes 132 language pairs. Every language has 3,000 words split into six CEFR levels of 500 words each, so a beginner starts with numbers, food and family while an advanced learner works on idioms and specialist terms. Progress is tracked separately for every pair.

A study session is a stack of cards. Tap a card to flip it and hear the word in a natural voice, then swipe right if you knew it or left to see it again. Spaced repetition schedules the next review at 1, 3, 7 and 16 days and further, while a missed word returns in ten minutes. Cards show the phonetic transcription, an example sentence with its translation and, for German, Dutch, French, Italian, Spanish and Danish nouns, the article.

The Game Room turns words you have already seen into 18 games, including sentence games, Taboo, Word Monster, a timed quiz and a Daily Round worth double XP. A daily goal, a streak with streak freezes, a ten-tier weekly league and 123 achievements keep the habit going. The free plan gives 12 new words and 10 games a day, reviews are always free, and an account is optional.
