Medication reminders, health readings and a care circle for older adults and families
Serena Care: Pill Reminder is a medication reminder and care app by Rui Codex for Android. It reminds older adults of each dose, records whether it was taken, keeps medications and appointments in one timeline and lets approved family members and caregivers follow along. It is free with ads, and Serena Premium removes the ads and the plan limits. It is an organisational tool, not a medical device.
Scroll sideways or use the arrow keys.
Up to four times a day, marked as taken right from the notification.
Medications and appointments in a single view of the day, in large text.
Counts down each dose and warns in the app before a medicine runs out.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, pulse and weight, recorded without interpretation.
Caregivers and family see what you share, only with your approval.
Alerts your care circle with your location; it does not call emergency services.
Ask to see your medications instead of reading the screen.
Serena Care is built around one calm daily routine for older adults, their families and their caregivers. Each medication is added once with its dose and up to four times a day; the app reminds you at each time and records whether the dose was taken, and you can mark it or snooze it straight from the reminder. Medications and doctor appointments appear together in a single timeline with large text and gentle colours, and an optional pack counter counts down each dose and warns inside the app before a medicine runs out. Older adults can add their own medications and appointments, so a caregiver is optional.
Blood pressure, blood sugar, pulse and weight can be logged as health readings, and a one-tap mood check-in with a weekly overview helps families notice a change early. Serena Care records these readings but does not interpret them or give medical advice. Appointments store the doctor, hospital, room and notes, with reminders one day and two hours before. A voice assistant answers requests such as show my medications, which helps when eyesight or fine motor control is limited.
Nobody sees your data unless you approve them: caregivers link with a reference code that both sides confirm, a family member also needs the patient's own approval, and access can be removed at any time. The SOS button, held for three seconds and cancellable during a five-second countdown, saves an alert with your location for the people linked to you; it does not call an ambulance or any emergency number. The free plan covers one patient and three medications and shows one banner ad, and Serena Premium removes ads and adds unlimited medications, patients and family members, longer health charts and the full doctor visit report. Reminder delivery depends on the device, so the app should not be the only reminder for life-critical medication.
Older adults who want a simple, large-text daily routine for medication and appointments, and the family members and professional caregivers who support them.

The Android app is built in Flutter and Dart, with local notifications for dose and appointment reminders, Firebase Cloud Messaging for caregiver alerts and the platform's speech recognition for the voice assistant. It works with an ASP.NET Core (.NET 9) Web API backed by EF Core and SQL Server, and the interface is available in six languages.
Yes. The free plan covers one patient and three medications and shows one banner ad; on the doctor report you can watch a short video ad to open and share that report once. Serena Premium, monthly or yearly, removes all ads and adds unlimited medications, patients and family members, full SOS history, weekly summaries, 30 and 90-day health charts and the full doctor visit report.
No. It records an alert with your location for the caregivers and family linked to you, who may get a notification and see it when they open the app. Nobody is called automatically and delivery is not guaranteed; in a real emergency, call your local emergency number.
No. It is an organisational tool. It does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition and does not give medical advice, so always follow your doctor. Reminder delivery depends on the device, so do not rely on it as the only reminder for life-critical medication.
Only people you approve. Caregivers link with a reference code that both sides confirm, family members also need your approval, and you can remove anyone at any time. Your health data is never used for advertising and never sold.
Not at the moment. Serena Care is published on Google Play for Android phones and tablets; there is no App Store version yet.
